I have nub nails. It is a fact. I have been biting my finger nails for as long as I can remember and just cant seem to stop. I think I dream about the phrase from my mom, "Don't bite." I do not know what it is with biting. Maybe it is because I can never sit still and my hands are easily accessible? I just diagnosed myself with a.d.d., does that mean anything? My record for not biting my finger nails is probably about two weeks. I will be doing good, so proud of myself, but then all of a sudden I feel the longness of my nails. It is like I eat, sleep, and dream about those nails until they are gone. Geeze louise! Come on Elizabeth!
This past Saturday when I got my nails and toes done I decided once and for all I was going to rid this bad, no awful habit! You know how people are envious of maybe someone's hair, or good skin, or skinny figure? Nope, not me, I am envious of people with pretty painted finger nails. So here it goes, the Nail Nub Challenge.
(People like to refer my hands as parakeet hands. They are rather small I suppose).
With the Nail Nub Challenge I am going to need to polish up (no pun intended) on my knowledge of nail polishes. My favorite for fingernails is the classic OPI Bubble Bath. I love this color because one, the nubs can pull it off, and two, to me it is just a polished look. I love simple, neutral, pearl colors.
OPI just came out with a Texas line and since I am a Texas girls my friends and I were all so excited about it! On my toes I got Houston, We Have a Purple. (So creative, eh?) Just a little fyi on these new Texas colors you need to paint three coats instead of two. The colors are just a little weaker than their regular colors.
I am getting excited. I think I am going to start collecting nail polishes now!
And so on,
Elizabeth
