Viva Las Vegas!
This past weekend I got suckered into going to vegas with all my best friends from high school. Okay okay, we really have been planning this trip since oh about March, but I bought my ticket Monday night for a Thursday morning flight. Aye yi yi, I will never learn!
Here are the characters.
Jazzy J. The life of any party/room she walks into. That makes no difference in Vegas. Let's just say she was the queen of the dance floor.
Ali Cat. Because of her we went on this trip and I lost all my money. She knows everything (she thinks) and loves to gamble. We do a lot of eye rolling at her, but it is all out of love.
Kirby. Boy magnet.
Tara. Comedic relief. No one can not help but love her, she keeps us laughing just by being herself.
We stayed at the Venetian in a HUGE suite...it was pretty suite (good one, good one eh)? Upon our arrival on Thursday we hit the black jack tables. I think we loved it so much because they kept serving us bellinis...but also because we were all up and I was a pretty happy camper with my winnings! (But that changed rather quickly).
Thursday night Ali's momma and her best friend treated us to a dinner at Dos Caminos in the Pallazo. I am talking about THE best mexican food I have ever had and I am a big critique of what mexican food goes into my mouth. We then went to Haze night club at MGM. We were pretty lucky because Jasmine's brother and a bunch of his friends went to Vegas at the same time as we. So we had a cabana by the pools and a table at night clubs every night. Whoop whoop!!
Look at Jaz gettin' it!
Friday we hit the Venus Pool at Ceasars.
Friday evening Jasmine's papa (Tom Cat) took us to dinner at Lavo in the Palazzo. It was Italian food and I did not want to leave the table it was so good. We then went Cirque de Solei, Ka. We were so tired from being at the pool all day and in a bit of a food comma I suppose that everyone fell asleep at one point during the show. It was rather comical. The night was not over quite yet! After our little nap during the show we had got our second wind and went to Pure, which is in Caesars as well.Pure was hands down our favorite. I especially enjoyed the roof top view overlooking the whole strip of Vegas.
Saturday we went hit Tao Pool for some fun in the sun.
Then for dinner well, we accidentally slept through our dinner reservations. We had reservations at 10:30 at Tao and we woke up at midnight. That sun and playing volleyball wore us out I suppose. But it is Vegas, so we couldn't stay asleep! We went to Paris Paris to the Chateau at first and then to Vanity.
Sunday we got up and I lost some more money. What a good way to end the trip, huh?
The bottom line is my body is throbbing and aching in muscles that I did not even know I had and I think I am coming down with a cold. My feet are also as swollen as a someone with their wisdom teeth just taken out. So, I guess that can only mean that we had a fabulous time and now I can not wait to go back!
And so on,
Elizabeth
