It's my favorite day of the year, the Oscars!
I have watched all ten, okay maybe only nine, movies nominated for best picture! I almost completed my mission. The only one I did not see was 127 hours because it was not out on Red Box yet. Yesterday I watched The Black Swan, Winter's Bone (did not really enjoy), and Toy Story 3. This morning I watched The Fighter. But of course this lovely weekend would not be complete without a little Pizza Hutt Pizza!
I was a little nervous about seeing the Black Swan, but I must say I absolutely loved it! There were times when I was dying internally (I am sure you know when I am talking about), but there is no doubt in my mind that Natalie Portman will go away with an Oscar. If you think about it she really could have become messed up from making this movie? As an actor she had to reach so far within to play this part.
I am not going to lie, I did not really pay very good attention to Winter's Bone. I was not a fan, but I am sure it was an excellent film if it was nominated for best picture and had two actors nominated as well. Just not my cup of tea.
You can just not go wrong with Tory Story 3. No matter your age, it is touching. Everyone goes through that phase of life of growing up.
I thought the Fighter was an incredible movie. Loved every second. I love it even more because I know how hard Mark Wahlberg worked on it.
And here are my predictions:
Best Picture: The King's Speech
Best Actor: Colin Firth in The King's Speech
Best Actress: Natalie Portman in Black Swan
Best Supporting Actor: Christian Bale in The Fighter
Best Supporting Actress: Melissa Leo in The Fighter
Animated Feature Film: Toy Story 3
Those are the only categories that I really know anything about. I am sure Alice in Wonderland will snag a few awards as well, such as best costume.
Now I better go get all dolled up for our Oscar Party this evening! I am thinking about going as Giuliana Rancic from E! News, what do ya think?? "Live from the red carpet, it's E! News."
I CAN NOT WAIT!
And so on,
Elizabeth
